Romance Writers of America Conference
With my new best friend (yes! I made a new friend!) Ron Smith, who ran the sound booth and was so funny and nice (and tall!)
So, you want to see what I was up to this past week? : )
- One of Miss Jilly’s two books nominated for Best Single Title Contemporary. Very proud! The winner of the category was Barbara Freethy for The Way Back Home
Another great friend, Huntley Fitzpatrick, for her wonderful, uplifting book, nominated for Best First Book.
With the lovely Sarah Morgan, who won a RITA this year, and Nora Roberts, aka the Queen of Romance, and my great friend Jill Shalvis.
With Roxanne St. Claire, whom I just love, and who was also nominated for a RITA for Best Single Title Contemporary.
Hugging Cathy Maxwell, who also spoke at RWA and just knocked it out of the park. Such an inspiration!
Photobombing McIrish as he tries to get a shot of the wicked cool hotel (we felt like we were on the USS Enterprise, a personal goal of mine).
With Sarah MacLean, winner of best historical romance. I just adore her AND her books. And her shoes. And her dress.
On Jumbotron just after my speech, getting a hug from the magnificent and incredibly nice Sylvia Day. Got a standing ovation from my peers. Just typing those words makes me choked up.
My chapter mates from Connecticut RWA. The best gang ever!
